Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TripHub ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the TripHub mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TripHub. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You specifically agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Engage in harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect or store personal data of other users without consent
  • Use the Service for any commercial purposes without authorization

User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service ("User Content"), including trip details, photos, expenses, and itineraries. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and applicable laws
  • Your User Content does not contain viruses or malicious code

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice. We are not responsible for any User Content uploaded by users.

Trip Collaboration

TripHub facilitates collaboration among trip members. By inviting others to a trip or joining a trip:

  • You agree to share trip-related information with all trip members
  • You acknowledge that trip organizers can manage trip details and membership
  • You understand that you can leave a trip at any time, but your contributions will remain visible
  • You are responsible for resolving any disputes with other trip members

Expenses and Financial Tracking

TripHub provides tools to track and split expenses among trip members. Important notes:

  • We do not facilitate actual money transfers or payments
  • Expense tracking is for informational purposes only
  • You are responsible for settling debts outside the app
  • We are not liable for disputes regarding expenses or settlements
  • All financial information is provided "as is" without warranty

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, graphics, and code, is owned by TripHub and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.

Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as Unsplash for destination images). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

When you use the receipt scanning feature, your receipt image is transmitted to Google's Gemini Vision API for OCR processing. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to Google's applicable terms of use.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIPHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TripHub and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your User Content

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable European Union law and, where applicable, the laws of the EU member state in which TripHub operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that member state.

Dispute Resolution

If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@triphubapp.io. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue formal dispute resolution.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TripHub regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
